"New Vintage" Sabatier Knives - Canadian Collection
Made in FranceOur collection of Sabatier "New Vintage" Knives is really something special and unique!
While visiting a third generation knife maker a few years back, we were told there was a collection of K Sabatier, carbon steel knives that had been forged in the 1950s - and which had never been used. Needless to say, we bought every knife they had, and exclusively use these knives in our cooking classes.
They have sturdy wooden handles and hand-forged carbon steel blades. Each knife is unique as they have been individually handcrafted. Truly timeless pieces for cooks who appreciate classic culinary techniques. Julia would be proud!
Our “Canadian” set includes the following new vintage knives from the 1950s:
13 cm utility kitchen knife
28 cm chef's knife
Cook's Note: This is considered one of our favorite Collections at The Cook’s Atelier and we proudly present these beauties for use during our cooking classes. They are sharp, durable, yet light in weight. The carbon steel blade will develop a natural patina over time. Be sure to take care of the knives by drying completely after washing and oil with carbon steel oil for the blade and natural mineral oil for the wooden handle. We think every cook should have this one-of-a-kind collection in their own kitchen!
Each knife has been oiled to conserve its natural elements. Be sure to wash thoroughly the blade and handle before use. We recommend hand washing your knives. Never put them in the dishwasher. Take care of your knives and oil often.
